Still Standing — Lone Tree on Rock at Zion National Park
From looking there should be no way that this little tree should be able to grow here much less survive all the winds and weather that comes it way. This is an iconic tree at Zion and I know folks that took picture of it almost 30 years ago. It caught my attention as soon as I drove into the park. I wonder how long this tree has been here and how it's holding on to the rock – it must have really good roots that have found their way into the rocks cracks and crevices. Makes me think – could I stand that strong like this tree in the face of that much adversity. Hmmm… Nature is so Amazing!!
