Sensitive Briar 0785 Mimosa quadrivalvis

The Sensitive Briar wildflower is a very unique flower and plant and I am always excited when if find it. The bright pink round clusters are individual stalks and have a bright yellow tip. The leaflets have sensitive hairs that trigger the leaflets to close when touched – how fascinating! Bobwhite quail are know to eat the sees, and wild turkey fee on the leaves. This plant is also named &devil&#39 s shoestrings by rural children running barefoot though its prickly stems.
