Just Tweeting Dickcissel
I enjoyed visiting the prairie and usually spend my time capturing the beautiful wildflowers but if a cute little bird happens along, I love being able to capture it like I did this Dickcissel that was just tweeting away. So much fun!
On this day, I had decided to get out early and hit a prairie and see what might be blooming. I must admit I did not get out early enough as after an hour out in the prairie I almost didn't think I would make it back to the car which was about 1/2 mile away. The sweat was pouring into my eyes and burning so bad it was hard to keep them open, and I had stupidly not taken a handkerchief or anything like that out with me. I would wipe one at a time with my shirt tails, which was hard with all the gear I was carrying, and I would walk with one eye open at a time. It was a looooong walk lol but so worth it to capture all the fun on the prairie!
